Hey, guys, it's Darren Joy from Charlotte, North Carolina. What was life like before the Consulting Accelerator Program? It was good. I actually am a consultant, and I have been for probably the better part of 20 years. I work for large, Fortune 50 companies, and for the most part, it's been good.
But there are certain drawbacks. One of them is the bureaucracies of the large ..., the politics of a large company. The other thing is, is you are geographically tied to the location where you're working. So I wanted the freedom.
I have an epiphany a few years ago while vacationing in Costa Rica and actually having to do some work remotely, and I was sitting on a deck of a million dollar home, looking over the Pacific Ocean, watching the sun go down, smoking a nice Cuban Montecristo No. 2. And I had an epiphany, and it was like this is how I need to work.
So I started looking and researching, and that was about 2012. And I've looked at a number of different opportunities that people have had, and I actually found you guys through Tai Lopez. But when I saw this, I realized this is for me. I have three strict criteria. One of them is no employees. The other one is being able to do it from wherever I wanted, and the third was no overhead, no company, so to speak.
My company is my laptop. So that's what life was like before, and now that I'm in it, I'm doing it, I would say that it's busy. I work eight hours a day, nine hours a day, sometimes here, but when I go home, I spend one to three hours, probably two to three nights a week and then again, more hours on the weekend. So it takes some discipline. Life is a little busy right now. But it's not really like work because you realize it's something that you're building that's going to grow, and it's going to benefit you. So it it makes it very easy to do that.
What is life like after the program? I don't know yet. I'm not there. I'm only in my second week, but I can tell you, I am very excited. Would I recommend this to other people? I already have. I've recommended it to another of people that I know, and so they are aware of it, and we'll see what happens. Anyhow, I'm looking forward to it. Thanks, Sam. Talk to you soon.
